Small businesses here work mostly with cash only but it is also possible to find “tourist friendly” places that take all major credit cards. Definitely have a card to get money from an ATM and a credit card would help in case of emergency.

Czech Bank Notes
Bank notes come in denominations of 100, 200, 500, 1000, 2000 and 5000 Crowns.
Coins come in denomination of 1, 2, 5 (all silver), 10 (brown), 20 (gold) and 50 (brown and gold, largest).
You can pay with your card at many shops and some restaurants but cash is still the most common form of payment everywhere.
There are some shops where you can pay with Euros, but the exchange rate is likely to be less.
ATMs can be found frequently around the city and is most often the best way to get money. The minimum make a withdrawal at most banks is about 100-200 CZK.
